The days after .. new President, same old life

The election is over and we can finally have our air waves back and the endless "preaching" by both sides as to why their choice is the best can cease. Obama may not have had my vote, but he has my support now as my leader. And not because I agree with him or really care for his values and persona... but because he is the leader of my country as chosen by our system in the country I was blessed to be born in - and mainly because the BIBLE, which contains details of the person whose opinion is the only that really matters to me (that would be God for those who missed that implication)... the BIBLE instructs us to respect our leaders, be good citizens, that when we disagree sharply it can often result in spreading the news of Christ to places of the world not yet reached for His glory.

Those of us who call ourselves "Christians" are called of Christ to represent Him in the midst of an age that is passing away and in a world system that is opposed to the plan and purposes of God. We cannot forget this. And we cannot live a life in betrayal of that calling.

Obama is apparently God's man for this time and God's purpose will be revealed... when, who knows. As in everyday of the Christian life we need to trust.
