Am I right in the head?
I had my appointment with the neurologist today to look further into the first scans from my MRI. I feel great about how the appointment went and feel like my care under the leadership of this new doctor will be excellent.
Basically, he ran me through tons of simple tests to check my nerve ending, making sure I could feel certain things, smell certain things, walk a straight line, etc. And I seemingly passed with flying colors. This guy is top notch -- Cornell Med School, Johns Hopkins... doesn't get much better in terms of qualifications.
He did order two more kinds of MRIs -- one with the injection of dye and one without to get a better look into my spinal cord and brain. But overall he showed me the original scans and where there was cause for concern (teeny tiny white flecks in an otherwise constant gray area known as my spinal cord).
I expect to schedule those new MRIs soon, maybe even this week so we can get things done quickly and rule out MS once and for all. Your prayers and thoughts are felt strongly, and appreciated through this next round of tests.
Tim's travelling again for a short trip this week. He's getting a little acclaim for some work he's done over the last year... well deserved of course. So pray for his travelling safety if you would.
I will be co-hosting a baby shower this weekend. It's so funny b/c we went tonight to visit a couple in our Sunday School class that had their baby on Weds of last week... we took them dinner and this is the first time Tim's gone with me on a delivery of food to one of our friends who recently became parents... we've only had a gazillion of them in the last year-and-a-half. It was cute b/c we left there after seeing the couple, hearing their horror story about the birth (long labor, c-section, pain, etc) and seeing their nursery all decked out in pinks, the closet FULL of baby girl dresses she could never possibly wear and Tim just casually looks over at me on the drive home ans says "Yep, definitely not ready for that!" I'm glad we're both on the same page on that one. We've been focusing on careers for the last 4 years so we can one day have kids but we really want to be in a position where I can stay home if I want to or need to... and we won't be financially able to do that for a little while longer (sorry future grandparents... the wait continues for a little while when it comes to us).
Praises: Got some exciting news from family expecting that all looks good with the pregnancy. Just know we're praying for you.
Prayers: Praying for family going through treatment/tests for cancer.
Thanks to all who have been reading and praying...

Weekend Wrap up
"May the words of my mouth abd tge meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord..." Psalm 19:14
We started our weekend on Saturday night really with the most amazing concert by contemporary Christian artist and worship leader Chris Tomlin. For my nonbeliever friends I'm sure you think Tim and I have gone off the deep end actually going to a Christian concert... but I have to say that's ok if you think that because you don't know what you're missing... this show was amazing and the presence spirit was heavy on that place. We were in an outdoor ampitheater so when the speakers or singers would mention the heavens it was easy to look up and see all that God created, and feel really really really small. ( Read Chris' blog about the West Palm evening...)
The concert looked like this:

But the most amazing part was the speaker that went on between the musical acts... he had with him amazing pictures taken in outer space of galaxies God created, for instance, this is the Whirlpool Galaxy which is million of light years wide... our Milky Way galaxy is like a thousand times smaller than this:
But the feakier thing was when they zoomed into this galaxy, to the center of the white blob... this is what was pictured...

My nonbeliever friends will hint that this is fictional, or say that the eye sees what it wants to see. Still, I say science sees what's really there and I prefer to think God finds ways to remind us He is real, He is here, and He's coming back so do with your life what He would have you do and you will be rewarded.
In any case, on Sunday we drove to see Tim's parents, and Coop got a brief dip in their very cold swimming pool so he was pleased. Had a nice albeit brief visit with my grandparents and picked up this HUGE amazing flag Tim has with the names of law enforcement and firefighters who were killed on 9/11. It's so huge we had to leave it at Tim's parents' house until they can bring in down to us next month. At which time I will post pics. Always good to see the brothers, and Aimee, and Papaw!
And having Monday off was such a blessing, we made it back home kinda late since Tim had work related stuff at 5 a.m. the next morning, but life goes on... and we're ready for another rest weekend coming up soon!

Weddings...
"This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another." 1 John 3:11
Here is a pic of the wedding invites I'm working on for a coworker friend of mine. Their sunset wedding will take place next month near the beach, very tropical (hence the flower) and a hammock has special significance to the couple, so that's where the netting comes into play.
Food for thought
Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.
Proverbs 18:2
There is reason why this verse struck me today, but rather than airing dirty laundry I will just leave it for you all to ponder as well.

Holby reservation for 4 (pics)
I was graced with a nice visit from my college roommie and dearest friend Christi and her wonderful husband Rob and their two adorable kids Jackson and Emme.
They came down and stayed one night, we got to eat barbque and stay up late chatting. It was just what I needed since lately life has been too busy to stop and smell the roses and with Tim travelling abroad the last week it was great to have company that actually talks back (no offense Cooper!)
Plus it's always so much fun to see friends who you've known for what seems like forever (10+ years for C and I) become parents and see how loving and nurturing they can be with these adorable kids they created. Makes me know Tim and I will be great parents when the time comes because we're both patient, fun-loving, and really compelling by God to raise children who will become good people. And the more often we see our friends doing it the more we both acknowledge that God is leading us down that path to parenthood (eventually) as well.. the 5 yr plan is approaching people so just relax ;)
Tim returns home sometime tomorrow (yeah, he still better pull off something nice for Valetine's Day!!!) and I pray he gets an earlier flight bc with our chilly evening temps I could use someone in the bed to keep me warm and you know Cooper's more than willing to take that spot!
Here are some pics:

Another new pic...
This was Superbowl Sunday... how good are we looking huh?

Total lbs lost between the two of us... 20!!! (Man that angle isnt that friendly to my rear though!)
But we're bummed b/c our trainer up and quit over the weekend without telling us! I had a workout with him Friday night and by Monday when Tim went for his sure enough he had a falling out with his live-in girlfriend and moved back to Tally where he is apparently from... we're both upset bc he was the nicest guy and was motivating without being annoying.
I've been in high demand with my invitation/announcement side "business". Hard to call business since I make no money... but here are some I've been working on for various weddings and baby showers.
